Spend a little extra money on a hotel with an indoor pool, if you are experiencing snow and ice at this time. Usually most hotels offer Continental breakfasts to their guests and you could very well eat your other meals in the spots which you know as reasonable. Those really short on money can stay at home. Use the answering machine for taking your messages, switch off the computer and use only your cell phone in case of emergencies. Try using your voice messaging from your cell.

Spending a lot of money on such holidays is hardly necessary; you could just pack snacks and drinks and some night out stuff and zoom off! Selection of the place is important. Be sure that it is somewhere that you and your family will enjoy. Let everyone in the family voice their opinion about where they want to go or what they want to see.
